Petersham Nurseries – Richmond, London
Petersham Nurseries is definitely the prettiest cafe I have ever been too. It’s both an informal ‘Teahouse’ and Michelin starred restaurant (The Cafe), set within a nursery next to the Thames and Petersham Meadows which makes it especially beautiful. As long as you have a taste for style above function you’ll love it. The tables and chairs are mismatched and it’s hit or miss as to whether you get a comfy seat or not but I can live with that as the place is quite unique. The restaurant is expensive and it definitely attracts the ‘price is no object’ West London crowd. I’m not keen on paying a lot for food, it’s too much of a gamble but I love the cakes and soup in the Teahouse, it’s a lovely place to come on a a sunny day for tea. It’s very much the sort of place mothers and grandmothers would love and anyone who loves plants.
