Blue Legume – Stoke Newington

Stoke Newington Church Street is one of my favourite streets in London. It has so many nice cafes, restaurants and shops and Abney Park, the best cemetery in the city. There is a great little street vendor selling all kinds of random clutter out on the pavement. I managed to pick up a copy of Hitler’s Mein Kampf and two adorable little skyblue teacups each for a £1 a piece. My favourite spot though is the Blue Legume. I don’t know anyone who doesn’t love this place. Their menu consists of all kinds of breakfasts from British to Mediterranean and lunch is anything from bespoke sandwiches to elaborate salads. I personally like to come here for a coffee and a slice of lemon cheesecake, (something that wouldn’t cross my mind to order anywhere else). It’s nice inside with little mosaic tables and french cafe style chairs and I love the mural on the ceiling. The veranda at the back makes a nice addition in the summer too.
