Primrose Bakery

Perhaps a bit out of the way, but if you’re in London on a sunny day then it’s worth a trip up to Primrose Hill for a cup of tea and a cupcake. Half 50′s tea room half old fashioned sweet shop, the American retro furniture and cabinet of cakes including cupcakes of every kind, Victoria sponge cake and raspberry coconut cake make it a little haven for all those who put food before fashion. Melrose and Morgan, the chichi deli across the road is worth a mention, if you would rather fill up on a hearty sandwich filled with delicious chutney and dead animal of choice before going across the road to stuff your face with cake. Nearby Primrose Hill has spectacular views of London and is one of the nicest parks in the city.
