La Bouche

It’s great when it’s not busy but these times are rare. I suppose the fact that it’s a deli as well as a café increases its popularity. This makes it a good spot for inspiration though, so I quite like to come here to write this blog, despite it being overrun with push chairs, jesus why oh why so many push chairs? I’m inclined at times to boycott anywhere with EVEN ONE PUSH CHAIR. Problem is I really love places with furniture that looks like it’s been made of wood dug up from the bottom of a swamp in the Everglades and shelves of over-priced food, and I’m a total sucker for packaging. It’s a nice spot for lunch too, albeit the typical bourgeois London café: quiche and salad that costs a tenner but the pastries are good and we have to support these kind of places as we can’t let chain cafés take over our world.
